Two Broadway theaters. One hidden connection.

On this one-of-a-kind interior tour, guests will explore the Walter Kerr and Eugene O'Neill Theatres and discover the stories, architecture, and theatrical history that have shaped these two Broadway houses for more than a century. Though they sit on separate streets and have lived very different lives, the two theaters are connected by a shared alleyway hidden from public view - offering tour-goers a rare glimpse into the hidden infrastructure of Broadway itself.

Throughout the experience, guests will explore a larger question at the heart of Broadway history: how do theaters survive? Discover how these buildings have been altered, restored, renamed, repurposed, and preserved through decades of changing tastes and a constantly evolving Times Square. Along the way, guests will encounter an unexpected surviving trace of Broadway's past - one that offers a

tangible connection to a theater that no longer exists and underscores the importance of preserving the historic Broadway houses that remain.

From legendary productions and performers to the architects, designers, craftspeople, and theatre workers who have kept these buildings alive, the tour reveals Broadway history from perspectives rarely seen by audiences.

Utilizing iPads filled with historic photographs, drawings, and archival discoveries from our extensive research, guests will watch past and present merge before their eyes as they move through two working Broadway theaters - and discover the hidden connections, surviving traces, and layers of history that remain within them!

Please note this tour contains one flight of stairs up and one flight of stairs back down in each of the theaters. Because of the age of the theaters, there are no elevators. When reserving your tickets, please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements so we can ensure a perfect experience for you!
